Fashion Trends For Summer 2021

Summer is fast approaching. At the start of the year, we were all under the impression that the lockdown could continue further on into the year. Now, it has been announced that we will be gradually heading back to normality, with the potential to head out on our much loved summer holidays. This means one thing, our summer wardrobes are going to need updating as we will be heading out into public this summer! Today, we are going to look at some of the Summer fashion trends we can expect to see in Summer 2021.

We can expect to see large summer hats to make a comeback. With the days becoming longer and brighter, we will be wanting something to protect our eyes and block out the sun. Large summer hats are the best option for offering you shelter from the sun. Again coming in a range of styles, being able to match these with any summer outfits.

Floral Patterns
This summer we can expect to see the comeback of floral patterns. With people wanting to brighten up their lives, the best way to do this is through florals. Bringing nature with you wherever you go on your clothing.

Second-hand shops and car boot sales are becoming a thing of the past for selling your unwanted clothes and a new buying and selling App has taken over. There are many great Apps out there, but one of our favourites is Depop.

It is easy to create an account, upload your clothes straight from your phone’s camera and set a description and price, it’s that simple. You can gain followers and likes for your profile and items, and you can rate and receive reviews to check trusted buyers and sellers.

Even if you make a few extra pounds, it can soon add up, and bring in a nice little income on the side. Then you have some money to buy some new clothes for yourself.

The perfect Autumn outfit

When it comes to Autumn fashion the most important aspect of an outfit is the accessories. These bring a dull outfit to life, giving it personality and style. But what is the perfect Autumn outfit?

As the weather begins to change and the temperatures drop, you can start bringing layers into your fashion. We love a t-shirt or long leave top with a pair of dungarees or dress, covered over with an oversized knitted cardigan. This will help to keep you warmer on those really cold days. Add some tights to your legs for added style and comfort, even try woollen tights if needed.

Add accessories to the outfit off with some vintage style jewellery, including earrings, rings and bracelets, you can also add a woollen hat too. Finish the look with some ankle boots and cute socks over the tights. The perfect fashion outfit addition for your Autumn wardrobe.

Buying Quality Vintage Clothes and Accessories

Good quality vintage garments or accessories can often cost as much as something that’s shop new, so why would anyone buy something that’s old for the same price? One reason is that quality vintage clothes are made better, which is why they are still around now after all. There are many other reasons why people still tout vintage clothes in 2017, here’s a few of them.

With vintage clothes, there is often a lot more workmanship and attention to detail in how they are made. They also tend to be more durable, which is a feature that contemporary clothes don’t incorporate as much. Not only this, but with a vintage designer item, it’s very unlikely that you are going to spot someone else wearing the same thing as you, so if you want to separate yourself from the crowd, go vintage.

Remember when buying vintage clothes that sizing standards have changed through the decades, so a 2017 size 12 probably won’t be the same as a size 12 from the 70s.
