How To Keep A Sweater In Top Condition
Along with the colder days that winter brings, the clothes we wear also shift in style. Sweaters are a popular choice to combat the cold this year, so keep yours in top condition and look hot right through winter.
Washing A Sweater
Before washing any sweater or knitwear be sure to check the label. The label always has important information on it, such as if it can be machine washed and the temperatures for washing. If you decide to machine wash then skip the spin cycle as the rough motion can stretch knits and ruin their shape. Also be sure to button the buttons and tie any knots before putting it in the machine.
To dry a sweater don’t use a tumble dryer. Air drying is much better as it avoids the roughness of machine drying. To air dry simply lay the sweater out on a flat towel, don’t hang it to dry if you can help it as this can stretch the weave.
